FIRST FRIDAY ARTWALK

Downtown Santa Rosa art galleries and studios are open for the monthly First Friday event. Participating galleries include:
- (Open 5-7pm): The Art Trails Gallery at Corricks, and Annex Gallery.
- (Open 5-8pm): Chroma Gallery, Christie Marks Gallery, Studios at 312 S. A and Backstreet Studios.
- Free musical entertainment in the garden behind Chroma Gallery.

TRANSLATIONS: PHOTOGRAPHY BY DON VAN AMERONGEN
Reception: March 4, 5-8pm
The Christie Marks Fine Art Gallery presents ‘Translations, Photography by Don Van Amerongen’, an arresting exhibition of fine art photography by Sonoma County artist, Don Van Amerongen. The show features digitally painted photos taken in Myanmar, India and Tibet. A restless voyager, Don’s work explores the interpretive intersection between color, form and meaning, while reimagining the ancient artifacts, places and spiritual traditions of these mystical lands!

FIRST FRIDAY AT CORRICK’S: BANKSON, CLARK & LOVLER
March 4, 5-7pm
Three local artists, Scott Clark (woodworking), Mandy Bankson (painting), and Sherrie Lovler (calligraphy and painting) will be joining us at Corrick’s for a fabulous First Friday event. The artists will be showing their work, and telling us a bit about it! Sherrie will also be sharing from and signing her new book of original poetry and art “On Softer Ground” which will be for sale. Wine will be available at $5 per glass.

SMALL WORKS AT CHROMA: CLOSING PARTY AND RECEPTION
March 4, 5-8pm
Join us for the closing of our Small Works show, with musical entertainment and refreshments. Small Works is a non-juried show of work limited in size to 12″x12″x12″, or having a surface area no larger than 144 square inches, including frame. Reception coincides with the SOFA District First Friday Artwalk.
