November 16 & 17, 10am-3pm – ANTIQUES & COLLECTIBLES SALE

 Sonoma County Museum, 425 7th Street

The Museum has cleaned out the collections warehouse and basement and is selling a variety of unique and interesting treasures. These are items that are not part of the Museum’s collections but have crossed the threshold of the Sonoma County Museum at some point in the past. Items include old typewriters, books, photographs, machines, clothing, household equipment and many other things!

Saturday, November 16: Museum Members Only – you must be a current member of the Museum.

Sunday, November 17: General Public Free Event.

 

Nov 16, 1 pm, CELEBRATION OF LINCOLN’S GETTYSBURG ADDRESS

Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery, Franklin and Monroe Streets,

Join in a celebration of the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address. Besides the speech by Mr. Lincoln, there will be canon and rifle volleys by Civil War soldiers, ladies and gentlemen in 1863 era outfits, short remarks about the Civil War and Gettysburg, refreshments, music and tours to the graves of those who experienced or were greatly affected by that great battle. It is all free. You may want to bring a folding chair.

 

November 16, 5-8pm – WINTERBLAST

SOFA District, Sebastopol Avenue at South A Street

The 9th annual Winterblast party is this Saturday! It’s happening at SOFA on A Street in Santa Rosa. There will be live music, a DJ, street food, beer & wine, the WhiskeyDrome, the electric SOFA parade (7pm), the Hubbub Club,  , Jeremiah’s Disco Party, Frosty the SnOwFAman, the Winter Queen, magic by Ken Garr, belly dancing by Krysta Cook, and over 35 open art studios and galleries.

PEDESTRIAN FLASHER INSTALLATION

The City of Santa Rosa has contracted with Vanguard Construction for installation of a pedestrian flasher on College Avenue at Glenn Street. Construction will start this week.

FREE TOWING OF DISABLED VEHICLES

A free service being offered this month (Nov 1-30) through the Santa Rosa Police Department to have vehicles towed at no charge. This is a great opportunity to clean up your property or help get properties in your neighborhood cleaned up.
