Honor Memorial Day at an old fashioned decorative commemoration. Free. Location: S. R. Rural Cemetery located at Franklin & Monroe Streets, Franklin Gate.

Tuesday, May 27th from 6 to 8 pm: The Mayor’s Open Government Task Force – Public Forum

Location: in the Santa Rosa City Council Chambers, 100 Santa Rosa Avenue.

The purpose of this Task Force is to review applicable law, city policy and practice, and related information in order to develop a report that will inform the community about the current status of open and transparent government practice in the City of Santa Rosa; to review the exceptions, limitations and restrictions imposed by State or Federal law or Constitution; and to present options for improvement or additional best practices that the Mayor and City Council may wish to consider.

This forum allows community members who cannot attend their daytime meetings to speak about issues and concerns related to aspects of “open” government such as accessibility, transparency, communication, trust, and community engagement.

Wednesday, May 28 from 5-8:30 pm – Water Smart Expo

Location: Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market at the intersection of 4th and D streets

The Expo will provide an opportunity for you to talk to employees from both City and County agencies, and meet with representatives from local business.
The Water-Use Efficiency team will be showcasing rainwater and gray water demonstrations and will be available to answer questions and offer suggestions regarding rebate programs and services and up to date drought information.
