Friday, October 25, 7:30pm – WRETCH LIKE ME

Glaser Center, 547 Mendocino Avenue

Go back to the 70’s, and the beginning of the Jesus Movement, as journalist-playwright David Templeton presents an encore offering of his acclaimed one man show ‘Wretch Like Me.’ Along with vivid impersonations and outrageous demonstrations of verbal acrobatics (never heard the song ‘Amazing Grace’ sung BACKWARDS?), David revisits his teenage days as a desperately nerdy, high-on-Jesus, fundamentalist pupperteer, from his numerous baptisms, his merry band of blissed-out teenage believers, a tiny church named Happy Chapel, a girl who wets her pants for Jesus, and avery serious (and seriously confused) man-of-God name… Reverend Dude. Eccentric, affectonate, and relentlessly funny, this newly revamped version of the show is not to be missed. All Seats $10. www.glasercenter.com
