Join us for a lively music and wine reception of two new exhibitions: San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Mexican Photographers and Artistry in Wood. SFMOMA holds one of the world’s most distinguished collections of photography from Mexico. This presentation is part of an unprecedented statewide tour of works from SFMOMA’s renowned photography collection to communities throughout California. Public art consultant Todd Bressi, who is also the artistic coordinator for the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, will discuss how Mural Arts has built one of the world’s leading mural programs, while acting as an agent of change, one community at a time. Hula Hoop- “A New Spin on Fitness” (Ages 6-11) 1 day class. This reemerging art form mixes dance, play, coordination skills and movement. Custom hoops will be provided. Hula Hoop- Dance Fitness Class- (Ages 18 +) 4 week class. Play, have fun and get fit…. this fun activity that many of us enjoyed as children is making a resurgence as an exciting dance form and fitness routine for adults. Flying Crane Qigong- (ages 18+) 6 week class. Utilize movement, breath and visualization to train one’s energy or Qi.
