Permit Parking Sign

Permit Parking Update: Morgan Street and A Street

There is currently a push to obtain permit parking along Morgan Street and A Street. This is one possible solution to the amount of car camping going on in the area. It also, may be a wise move with the SMART train starting service in the next year which may create a greater volume of non-residents parking in the neighborhood. In order for permit parking to be established on these streets, 60% of the residents on each street must sign a petition stating their support. Several neighbors will be circulating these petitions shortly.

Permit Parking Details:

Parking permits are $20 each/year. Each single-family dwelling can purchase up to three permits. Each apartment, condo, townhouse, or granny unit can purchase 1 permit/unit. Permits can be shared with friends and family. Once permit parking is established on a street, the city’s Parking Department will cite any drivers parking for over 2 hours between 8am and 6pm, Monday-Saturday. For more information visit:






Sat., June 13, 5:30pm – Peggy Sue Cruise downtown!

The hot rod era lives again this weekend. Vintage cars will roll through downtown Santa Rosa during Peggy Sue’s All-American Cruise, running from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Should be perfect weather for this fun event!

549 B Street. St. Rose Church
Style: Romanesque-Gothic. Architects: Shea & Shea of San Francisco. Built by Italian stone masons in 1900. Peter Maroni was the lead stone mason. He also did stone work on the Western Hotel in Railroad Square and the Kenwood Depot. This structure replaced the first church built in 1860 at Fifth and B Streets on a lot donated by Julio Carrillo. Services moved to a newer church building in the 1960's.
