Follow-up to January meeting on under-crossing encampments between St. Rose and West End neighborhoods.

Encampments - Hwy 101 Undercrossings

Description: This is a follow-up meeting to the January 4th meeting held to address concerns with the number of homeless camping under the 5th, 6th, and 9th Street freeway under crossings. It will be held Wednesday, March 1st at 6:30pm. Representatives from Catholic Charities, Redwood Gospel Mission, and St. Vincent de Paul will be attending.   All interested parties are welcome.

429 Eighth Street. Apartments built in the early 1990's using woodwork from the original house on the site. Original house was built in 1880 by T.J. Ludwig (builder of the McDonald Mansion). In 1904 the house was moved from 401 B Street at  5th Street to Eighth Street by Augusta Metzger in 1904. The original house survived the 1906 earthquake, but was severely damaged by a fire in 1983.
